Reading Response#4

Reading Response#4

Dear Marjane Satrapi,
I have been reading your book “Persepolis” and I love it. It has opened my eyes to what has happen in Iran. Before I read this book I didn’t know much about Iran. Most of the things I have read in this book I have not been through. It is very sad to see how you had to lose people you loved in at a very young age. I also haven’t been to a demonstration and seen half the thing you have seen. It seems like living in a war zone is hell. Everything in your area destroyed and people die on the streets. My life is different then yours. I didn’t have to go throw a war zone in my country and lose one of my heroes at a young age. It touches me very much that you had to lose you uncle at that age, no one should lose a person at that age and in the way your uncle died. I like that at a young age you knew more then your average little kid. I have a question to ask you, after writing the book how did that people in Iran feel about it? Or the characters you wrote about? You said a personal thing about family’s that people may not want other people to know. Hope you write back soon.
Sincerely, Christina R.
