Hey my name is Emelyn Flores. I am currently attending Cal State Los Angeles. My class mates and I have been reading your book, I have to say it is a great book. I have learned so much about Iran and its history, its so ironic how Maiji's lifestyle is not much different than mine. Before I read the book I would discriminate against people who are from Iran. I was ignorant I thought they were all terrorists and that the will one day destroy the United States. My train of thought and point of view has changed so much since I read the book. It has opened up my mind to a whole new level, I have learned from reading the book that kids out there aren't much different. They go to school like we do, there parents are very much like mine. They disagree with the rules they have to live under just like we do. I think this book is great and funny and should be introduced to many kids even parents and our government so they can all learn that we live stereotyping others by someone else's actions. I would love to read another one of your books. Marjane you are a great writer.
