Dear Marjane Satrapi,
I'm currently reading your book, "Persepolis" and so far, I am impressed by your compelling story. I would have never guessed what your country went through during the Islamic revolution. This book made me realized the freedom that we have in America. In Iran, I noticed that women didn't have much rights. However, i did admire your courage for protesting. I like the fact that you fought for what you believed in. During the Islamic revolution, your country didn't have much resources. It made me realized the things we take for granted. We're fortunate enough to have more than enough resources, but many of us take them for granted. I wonder how would your life be like if you moved to America before the Islamic revolution began. I have truly learned a lot from reading your book. The question i have for you is, do you think your life would have been better in Iran or another country?
Sincerely,
Willson Ta
