I am a student attending Ca ifornia State University and my name is Neraid Cruz. I have been reading your book Persepolis for my english course. It has been a wonderful experience reading your book and I really enjoyed reading your book. While reading your book many questions and thoughts runned through my mind. Your book opened up my mind to look at problems in different perspectives.I realized that I really did not know anything about Iran's history or how it was to live their until I read your book. While reading your book i comprehended that a nation should not be judged because of persons wrong. People should not be pointed fingers at or put down for someone elses mistake. I was really impressed with your life story because as a child you wanted to be revolutionary. My life is very different from yours. For the reason that you were raised up seeing violence, seeing your country being bombed, knowing how prisoners where tortured and your loved ones and people you know murdered. I can not picture myself seeing all the things you did because none of this things have ever occured where I live at. I believe it is very unfair that the placed you lived in which was Tehran was bombed. For the reason that it is a very bad experience to see the place where you grew up being bombed. Also in my point of view problems should not be solved by fighting, using violence such as bombing other countries. I think instead they should talk to solve problems so that people would not get hurt. In addition bombing other coutries worsens the way of living for people instead of improving it. In counclusion i would like to know if your uncle was really a Russian spy? I would want to know the real reason why your uncle was murdered? I really enjoyed reading your book and you are an amazing writer.
Sincerly,
Nereida Cruz
